Entry requires publication
No member enters in silence. Before you can read or post, you publish your cellar: photographs, capacity, what you collect, and one question for the room.
Everyone who joins after you sees it. Everyone who joined before you answers your question.
Your group of eight to ten
You are placed in a group of eight to ten members, formed around practical fit: region, availability, and collecting interests. The same group stays together for the full first year, so members come to know each other and each other's cellars over time.
A room of a thousand people creates nothing. A room of nine creates conversation.
Real names, verified cellars
Every account carries a real name and a verified cellar. There are no anonymous handles and no trade accounts.
You always know who you are talking to and what they keep.
The directory
Every member cellar is searchable by region, size, and focus.
You control what is visible, including whether your location appears at all. Nothing in the directory is public, sold, or indexed.
What stays in the Room
Three levels, kept separate:
- What you choose to show in the Room: your name, your broad region, your interests, and the cellar details you publish.
- What is shared in your group: what is said in a group session stays in that group. Sessions are not recorded.
- Your certification records: temperature records and certification photographs are seen only by Belmour and its reviewers.
Exact home addresses never appear in the Room.
Where it runs
The Room runs on a private platform, not on social media. Nothing is indexed by search engines, and no post you make is visible outside the membership.
